Courage, compassion, curiosity, and vulnerability are key elements of discovery and practice throughout the therapeutic journey. The words therapy and counseling represent genuine acts of reflection, understanding, exploration, and honoring your authentic self. As a therapist, my passion for counseling begins here: I prioritize and foster an honest, non-judgemental, open, genuine space and therapeutic relationship to best aid you with what your journey entails and encompasses. Therapy can be a process that challenges unhealthy patterns of thinking and behavior while compassionately implementing new forms of self-understanding. I enjoy working with individuals who don't know where to start, yet are making the intentional choice to help themselves. I believe that integrating a holistic perspective of an individual is essential when working with specific client issues. This includes learning about what makes you.. You!

My therapeutic work consists of supporting adults and teens ages 16 and up who are interested in diving into complex trauma history and healing, navigating close and intimate relationships, unpacking major life transitions, intentional exploration of your identity and sense of self, or processing the unbearable loss of a loved one.

I am fully affirming of individuals who identify as a part of the LGBTQ+ community, and believe in advocating for the voice and agency of all people who have experienced marginalization due to gender, ethnicity, sexual identity, physical and neurological differences, religious beliefs (or lack thereof) and socioeconomic status. I recognize that the more intersecting identities a person has, the more complex their experience may be.

After receiving my MS in Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas - Houston in June 2020, I worked with individuals suffering from severe OCD, depression, and anxiety at a private practice. I currently serve college students at the Texas Woman’s University addressing high-functioning anxiety, depression, and trauma.

I gravitate most towards therapeutic techniques that reflect the modalities of Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am a collaborative therapist, meaning I enthusiastically work together with my clients to discuss and learn what makes them..them, and talk about how to best enhance the therapeutic experience to achieve their goals. I deeply believe you are the best expert of you, and I enjoy working together to address presenting issues to promote healing.

What I love most about my work is the time spent with clients, actively listening and engaged, building the therapeutic relationship, and helping them learn to live their most authentic selves. Everyday I am grateful to be present in moments of discovery, growth, and understanding with clients. My passion for counseling is fueled by learning my clients’ unique stories and developing evidence-based treatments that best supports their therapeutic goals. I specialize and work collaboratively with my clients using Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I work with my clients to genuinely practice self-compassion and understanding while working on their goals. I understand that reaching out for help is the first step for developing a healthier self at any stage in life. I work with clients by meeting them where they are at in their phase of growth through Empathy, Mindfulness, and Unconditional Positive Regard.
